With reference to your Despatch

No. 150 of the 3rd. August last, relative to the number of

foreign seamen serving on British Ships who have been con-

-victed and imprisoned for refusal to proceed hence in

vessels carrying contraband of war, I have the honour to

enclose two returns furnished by the First Police Magis-

-trate and the Harbour Master as Marine Magistrate.
